Killester U18 Boys took on touring Canadian team Crestwood Prep College last night in St David’s. Both teams were missing players due to injury / unavailability and Killester filled out their bench with some of our U16 players. The game proved to be an exciting and entertaining one with standing room only for supporters in the packed arena.

Killester hit 4 from 4 from outside the arc to take an early lead but Crestwood then found their range in the second quarter. The game then stayed close in the second half until the last minute, when, with both sides on team fouls, Killester knocked down their free throws to eventually win by 5.

Thanks to Ashling O’Neill for bringing her Crestwood team over, thanks to the vocal local support and thanks to the Killester parents Audrey, Carolyn, Laura and Niamh for the food and drinks provided afterwards.
