What a finish to the season it was for our U13 girls team. After wining the Dublin Cup last month, they became Dublin League winners for the first time on Friday night.

All tied, with 1 game to go in the season, our great rivals Dublin Lions came to a packed out St Davids to play a winner-takes-all game.

In what ended up as the best game of the season, the game saw 64 fouls, 98 free throws, multiple lead changes and even more heart stopping moments. It was a jump shot with 5 seconds to go that iced the game and gave Killester win.

If that stress and pressure wasn’t enough, they had an EVEN BIGGER game waiting for them on Monday evening, as they took part in a Parents v Players game in their last session of the season. After playing at a pace the parents just couldn’t live (or breathe) with, the girls showed their class and came out on top once again in an enjoyable evening where the players came away with bragging rights and the parents came away with aches and pains all over.

A brilliant season for a brilliant group. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
