𝐮𝟏𝟎 𝐯 𝐮𝟏𝟏 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧

After weeks of build up by the local press corps the eagerly awaited contest between the Killester u10 girls and u11 girls took place last Sunday at The Donahies.

The escalation in trash talk over the socials between these two Goliaths over the last few days only added to the anticipation with crowds flocking to the venue hours before tip-off resulting in some disappointed fans being turned away at the door!

There was a great display of the up-and-coming talent at Killester Basketball Club and the fixture lived up to all the hype and expectation but it was clear to see that basketball was the real winner of the day and the big red faces and even bigger smiles at the final buzzer would attest to that.

It was great to finally see the girls putting their new skills that they’ve been working on over the last few months to the test.

The teamwork, grit, determination and fight from both sides was second to none!

Special mention of thanks to members of the u13 girls who did the table and joined the u10 and u11 girls for an impromptu ‘4 V 20’ game at the final whistle.
