Coach Mark Grennell making history last night with the first women’s league title for our club since his Dad, Martin Grennell, coached our last winning team in 1979 πŸ₯‡

Words are hard to find when you try and summarise the game last night at the Arena in Tallaght.
A neutral venue, seemed not to be very neutral for most of the game, a loud and proud Killester Basketball Club came out fully supportive of the team in their orange and black. The underage teams showed up with their families to support their coaches, getting to see their mentors playing at the highest level – It was inspirational.
From the 1st opening season game where we matched up against Liffey Celtics Basketball Club on their home court, it was significant that we matched up with them again in the last game of the regular season. Game 1 was not the best of games! In Q1 we allowed them a shocking lead that took the rest of the game to fight back from the 36 points down. We lost by only 3 points.
Last night we peaked with a 29 point lead – DOMINATING the game from the start and making the crowd roar and the kids scream with delight.
A final score of Killester Basketball Club 90 – 62 Flomax Liffey Celtics.
Top Scores to our super MVP Ieva BagdanavičienΔ— with 26 Points, Michelle Clarke with 19 Points and Jiselle Thomas with 15 Points.
