The Men’s Super League had a hard act to follow after the excitement of the WSL game.
Dublin Lions were yet to win a game in the league, and the Pyrobel Killester Men had been struggling with a long injury bench all season, but had recently returned to winning ways vs DBS Éanna.
Lions were on the attack from the go, and were putting in strong defensive play against the home team. Nonetheless, the teams were trading baskets, and scoring remained close. Kason Harrell went down early with a slight injury, but the Killester men rallied, and there was only one point separating the teams at half-time, with Pyrobel leading 28-27.
The third quarter saw no let up in pace, and once again, there was only one point in it at the end, with the lead having swapped hands to Lions.
Killester’s return to form, however, was not yet over. They pushed hard defensively throughout the final quarter, and a great team performance saw them finish 12 points up.
