It was an early start for the Killadies this weekend, with an afternoon tip off against hosts IT Carlow.

The Pyrobel Killester women were still riding high after their National Cup win, while IT Carlow’s position was very different as they sat firmly in the relegation zone.

Killester were in the driving seat from early on, and half time saw the teams separated by 18 points.

Despite the best efforts of Carlow’s Kaitlyn Slagus, who ended the game with an impressive 26 points, this was not be the day that the hosts luck changed and the game went comfortably to the visitors.

Final Score IT Carlow 68- 87 Pyrobel Killester

The next WSL match is on Sunday February 16th vs DCU Mercy at 14:30 in the DCU Sports Complex
