Pyrobel Killester MSL entered into 2020 with hopes of a turnaround in their fortunes.

The first half of the season had seen the team over run with a slew of injuries and bad luck that is surely due to be reversed.

Killester were starting the season meeting the league leader’s, but definitely did not let the challenge intimidate them. The first quarter was a constant back and forth, and Killester ended it 1 point ahead of the hosts, with the second quarter running similarly and the narrow 1 point lead going to Star.

Both teams entered the second half ready to rumble, and the third quarter saw another very narrow lead for the home team, with only 2 points separating them.

It was only in the last few minutes of the fourth quarter that Star were able to get any real gap between themselves and the visitors, and they ended with a win of 7 points.

Although the performance may not have given the result we were hoping for, it certainly bodes well for the remainder of the season.
