Jermaine Turner netted a whopping 45 points to send Pyrobel Killester to their first SuperLeague victory of the season at the weekend, winning 83-74 over SSE Airtricity Moycullen. Moycullen man Cian Nihill contributed a handsome 14 points to Pyrobels victory, which was hard earned without the services of Keith Anderson who suffered a ruptured Achilles Tendon in last weeks defeat to Templeogue. There was also a good debut from young Donegal man Andy Mc Geever, hopefully we will see a lot more from him during the season
“It’s good to get on the board,” said Head Coach, Brian O’Malley. “It was a tough game, Moycullen really took us out of our comfort zone, it was a battle from start to finish. We were disappointed with the way we finished against Templeogue, we felt we let that one get away from us but in fairness to Templeogue they stuck around and put a good run together to finish the game. You’d hope week by week that you learn and get better, we certainly had plenty of things to reflect on from the first two weeks that we weren’t happy about.”
